PCBL has manufacturing facilities at 4 locations i.e., Durgapur in West Bengal, Palej and Mundra in Gujarat and Kochi in Kerala with aggregate installed carbon black capacity of 4,72,000 MT. To take advantage of the growing carbon black demand, the Company is expanding its capacity and setting up co-generation power plants alongside to bolster operating margins. The current power capacity is 76 MW.

 

With the objective of carving a niche in overseas markets, PCBL has also entered into a joint venture agreement with three subsidiary companies of Vinachem for setting up a 1,10,000 MT carbon black facility and a power unit in phases, in Vietnam.

 

Durgapur Plant

Palej Plant
Location: Gujarat

Established: 1979
Carbon Black Capacity: 95,000 MT/Annum
Captive Power Plant Capacity: 12 MW
Manufacturing Expertise: Production of speciality blacks for plastics, inks and MRG

Products Manufactured: All ASTM and speciality blacks
Markets catered to: South, West and North India, Asia Pacific, Middle East, Europe and USA

Future Plans: Expansion of product range of speciality black for plastics, inks & MRG

 

Mundra Plant

Location: Gujarat

Established: 2009
Carbon Black Capacity:  140,000 MT
Captive Power Plant Capacity: 24 MW
Products Manufactured: All ASTM grades and few speciality black grades
Markets catered to: South, West and North India, Europe and USA

Kochi Plant
Location: Kerala

Established: 1984
Carbon Black Capacity: 40,000 MT/Annum
Captive Power Plant Capacity: 10 MW
Products Manufactured: All hard blacks
Markets catered to: South and West India, South-East Asia

Future Plans: Addition of 50,000 MT/Annum soft black line
