Internal Communication Initiatives

BROWNBAG SESSIONS

Connect! Think business! Talk business! Broaden horizon! Increase awareness! The Brown Bag Series is all about connecting, discussing and knowledge sharing! The Brownbag session witnesses a panel discussion with PCBL employees from Head Office, Plants and Regional Offices as the audience. They participate in the live interactive session and come up with queries for the panelists who are usually the experts from the industry.

HR CONNECT

In line with our objective of creating a fair and exciting workplace, the idea for creating an HR portal for the employees was generated in the Focused Group Discussion held at the Head Office. The HR portal was launched in April 2009 to ensure consistent communication across locations. The employees can access the portal with their own login ids. All the HR policies and procedures (automated HR processes such as induction and on-boarding, Travel management etc) of the organization have been uploaded on the portal and are available for employees. Also they can send birthday greetings and read on latest updates about the organisation.

LIVE SAMPARK

Sampark is a platform where the MD addresses all employees on a real time basis. The aim is to know PCBL’s present status, and shares means by which “Cost Leadership” as well as “Service and Quality Leadership” can be established. It is a communication platform for bringing in change, transparency and satisfaction among the employees right from the lowest to the topmost level. It is held once in a quarter and also serves as a platform to get feedback from employees. It is an interactive session where employees can seek clarification and share their perceptions.

MYPULSE

‘Mypulse’, the internal blogging system, is a platform for creative thinking, knowledge sharing and effective communication. It inculcates in people the habit of writing journals or blogs, which builds the skill of documentation.

WE@PCBL

We@PCBL, the e-zine of PCBL, would not only enable you to connect with your other colleagues across PCBL but it also gives you an insight into the PCBL-centric business articles, leadership scrapbook in audio-video format, people initiative stories, podcasts, book reviews, survey and many more.

FUN@WORK ACTIVITIES

The Fun@Work activities involve initiatives that enable PCBL employees to maintain a healthy work-life balance. A team of enthusiastic and creative employees organizes employee engagement activities (including annual picnic and events based on different festivals) across locations in PCBL.
