The 'R&D Centre' of PCBL are located at Palej, Gujarat, focusing market driven innovation to add values to PCBL’s product portfolio road map, explore technologies lead to competitive advantages, unlock hidden values of products and innovations in new sectors, intellectual property (IP) protection and to satisfy the need of customers through cutting edge technology solutions, in rapid pace, and through credible execution excellence.
R&D comprises state-of-the-art laboratories for:
- Carbon Black Feed Stock (CBFS) Characterization
- Carbon Black Characterization
And Carbon Blacks for:
- New Rubber Applications
- New Plastics Applications
- New Inks Applications
The NABL accredited R&D centre serves as the seeding ground for ideation, innovation, new technology adoption, new product development, new application development, technology solutions for customers, customer engagement etc. R&D is continuously leveraging partnership opportunities with existing and new customers, academic institutes, research centres to boost product and process performance.
All the four 'Quality Assurance Laboratories' are also recognized by Department of Science and Industrial Research (DSIR), Government of India.
The ‘R&D Centre’ is well supported by a pool of highly experienced and well qualified product and process scientists and engineers along with comprehensive infrastructure and equipment facilities for research and development, which includes rubber, plastics and ink formulations, compounding and processing, melt rheology analyzer, viscometers, physical and mechanical property analysis, elemental analyzer , surface area analyzer, aggregate size analyzer (ASA), dynamic mechanical analyzer (DMA), optical microscope, and various other analytical equipments.
The R&D works seamlessly to bring new products and technologies meeting various processing, application and environmental norms for PCBL customers targeting business growth and technical advancement.
